Yes, I'm still here. Are you? If so, thank you! I just have not had a spare second to blog recently.
Spring is in full force (baseball - dance - karate - Diva's 11th birthday - Daredevil's first communion) and work volume has really ramped up.
I finally got the kids' summer figured out (really late this year - I just haven't had time to work on it!)
After seeing the dollar figure we will spend on summer camps, I came to the conclusion that it would be cheaper if I just took a leave of absence from work for June, July, and August! But I can't, so I didn't. Sigh.
People laugh when I say I have a spreadsheet for the summer. But after they look at it, they know WHY I have a spreadsheet for the summer. Baseball camp. Dance camps. Overnight camps. Fashion Design camp. Karate camp. Vacations. And the camp we use to fill in any other non-specialty camp open weeks.
As for #3, she's potty training. Her teacher and I went hardcore this week - no diapers during the day. The first day was the best - only one accident. She's had more each day since then.
I think she is doing it on purpose, thinking at some point we'll give her back the diapers. Her accidents have mostly been right after she's sat on the potty and not gone. Then she asks for a diaper.
We will not give her one. Eventually (hopefully sooner rather than later) I'm hoping she will not like being wet.
She still gets one at bedtime, though. One step at a time.
We are now ramping up for Diva's dance recital. It is her 6th recital. She is in four numbers. I love to watch her dance and can't wait, but it is stressful thinking about the next week.
Hair, makeup, rehearsal, dress rehearsal. I think I will have to leave work early most days next week to have her in hair and makeup and to the theater (which, ironically, is one block from my office but 40 minutes from my house and her school)
I'll leave you some photos of #3 with her cousin G. They had lots of fun one evening last week while Daredevil was playing baseball. They get along really well and are just adorable together. They played "Ring Around the Rosy" about 100 times. It just never got old.
Happy Spring!
